Update: the Athenaeum is no longer available for download. In the confusion of moving in 2009, I lost all my copies of it. I apologize.
The Athenaeum is a biweekly magazine / almanac, a fortnightly gathering of philosophy, religion, puzzles, language, spirit, meditation, inner landscapes, art, magic, manifestation, weather. There are 26 fortnights in the year, and 26 letters in the English alphabet. This is issue B of 2009.
In this issue, three articles:
On Confirmation Bias: Does magic (or intention manifestation) really work? Or are the people who believe in it just fooling themselves?
A Knack for Magic (Unintentional Intention Manifestation): What does it feel like to do magic?… You probably already know, regardless of whether you’ve ever consciously used magic, and regardless of whether you even believe in it… And knowing what magic feels like is an essential skill. Because that’s what magic is: feeling.
The Anima and the Sidhe: Why do Bel and my anima appear so similar to me? From the first time I “saw” them in meditation, the resemblance was unmistakable; and over time I have only noticed more similarities.
This edition of the Athenaeum also includes the usual weather, holidays, moon phases, weekly words (left and right), art, and more, all brought to you by the letter B.
Enjoy!

Wait, seriously? Is it seriously brought to us by the letter B? How weird…
Well, the other 25 letters and some punctuation and spaces helped out, too.
But this is the 2nd fortnight of the year, so B gets pride of place.
And yeah, my sense of humor is… quirky.
I’m very interested in getting a copy of the magazine please?
my email is as above
Blessed Be
Kayla, I’m very sorry to say that with all the confusion of moving, losing a computer, and so forth over the past year, I no longer have any copies of any of the Athenaea, or even of the drafts I made.
