I have encountered some of my European ancestors during meditation. Some were Norman Aristocrats that Conquered France, England and Ireland, and some are Germanic and some appear to be Cro-magnon. Some are even Siberian Inuit. No Native Americans. Plus from an animistic perspective European animals resonate with me more than American ones. This really resonates with me.
